Introducing Leland Blue
Leland gal 2020 Collection
If I have a chance to get to the beach to relax, I just want to continue to be polarized by the water ... and in case you can't tell, that's been a big inspiration of mine from the very beginning.
I'm not usually the one searching for these special Leland Blue rocks, which I love. So many people visit here just to try and to find them; they are such a treasure down at the beach.
This pattern had a major evolution right from the beginning: One of the things I wanted to keep raw was the more organic white shapes, which creates the reflection of light and which is how they all look when underwater. Sometimes it's difficult when you are painting, you want to refine and refine, and what you then realize is, your composition becomes muddy. If you overwork it, your piece can become too representational and lose the fun.
