I only just met Heather in person last summer as an attendee to our floral workshop, but I have seen her work around for a while. I ADORE the aesthetic and concept. We are excited to get to know Heather more when she comes to our shop as a vendor on July 23rd and shares her darling collection of capes, wraps and more, all inspired by a life of adventure.

Favorite creative pastime?
With three little girls I don't have too much free time for creative projects apart from work but I really enjoy doing creative things with my daughters such as gardening, crafting and fairy house building! They are always inspiring me!
How has your upbringing influenced your creativity?
My grandmother was always a big inspiration for me when I was younger. We did lots of wonderful simple and fun creative ventures such as making pickles (even if they didn't turn out exactly as we hoped—they often still tasted like cucumbers—we had fun in the making.) We also painted ceramics or played around in the garage making things out of nothing.
Aspiring to...
What began as a blog to share the lessons we learned from moving to a new place for a new life, has grown into a community and creative business that is our labor of love. Through our content we aspire to inspire people to live happy, purposeful and intentional lives. Through our events we really enjoy bringing people together to have fun while being creative in the great outdoors - such as with our creation of the Fairy Trails in Traverse City.
Our products are designed for the purpose of empowering families to experience more meaningful moments in nature. We create outdoor inspired collections of apparel, enamel pins, and books for active families! Passion for the great outdoors is reflected in everything we make and everything we do. What we make is what we love.
What does a normal day look like for you?
A normal day for me is mostly a mix of different things, like it is for most creative entrepreneurs. The mix usually includes lots of coffee to get me started! Then I'm ready to dive into the day and get creating and brainstorming new designs, planning events and shipping out orders. I always try to find a little time to get outside. It inspires me to be more creative and clears my head. I try to wrap up work by the time the kids are done with school and then we spend time as a family often doing things outside or creating together.
