Lindy Bishop's paintings are about celebrating the land, what it grows and how it feeds us. She believes her role as an artist in rural America is to cross-pollinate with the bounty of the area, history, indigenous materials and subjects, other cultures, community, other arts and artists, youth, technology, and the land. Her aim is to inject a distinctive, engaging energy into her work. Inspired by artists Wayne Thiebaud and David Hockney, Lindy doesn't think art has to be happy to be good, but wants hers to be both. Show will extend through Saturday • • • Margie Matheson designs and makes wonderful artistic handcrafted jewelry. Her pieces range in styles, from classic to intricate, utilizing stones and inspiration from the beaches of Northern Michigan. • • • The Island Hopper ~ Inspired Adventures: Where women joyfully meet to create art and community around the globe. Meet Empire summer resident and founder of The Island Hopper, Tricia Heaton. Tricia and her youngest daughter Courteney take creatives and the creative curious on luxury trips to Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The Island Hopper will be taking 130 people in groups to a villa in Tuscany, the mountains of Vermont, and the bush in Kenya in 2024. Kenya is our co-ed trip. Come meet Tricia and hear about The Island Hopper’s 2025 trips. Come solo or bring a friend! She will be available to answer any questions and inspire you to go out and live your dreams in the biggest ways. |
