We are honored to welcome Joanna of Plum Design to our shop! Joanna Summers is the owner and founder of Plum Design. She first picked up needlepoint in her early thirties and propelled by her passion and love of needle and thread, her hobby quickly became a career. She began painting canvases for her local needlepoint shop and it wasn't long before her own line, The Plum Stitchery, was born. The Plum Stitchery offers elegant and classy heirloom-quality needlepoint canvases, all hand-painted by Joanna. Joanna's own designs tell stories, whimsical tales of ballerinas, space rockets at night and hot air balloon rides are but a few of the adventures you may take while completing a Plum Stitchery canvas. The Plum Stitchery is a designing collection of hand-painted needlepoint canvases based on her original designs and a host of artist collaborations. Joanna lives in Ohio with her husband, four small-ish children, and a sweet dog named Molly.

We are excited to give a warm welcome to Sally Wille, a colorful abstract painter! Sally Willie was born in Beloit, WI and moved to Winnetka, IL. Growing up on the shores of lake Michigan and spending summers at camp in Michigan on an inland lake gave her a deep appreciation for nature, the outdoors and its unending landscape. Her interest in painting was cultivated during high school with class work, and continued while enrolled at The Art Institute of Chicago during summers. Sally continued her painting practice in college at The University of Arizona completing her BFA degree. She has held positions of corporate graphic artist and art director. Today, Sally paints with watercolor and gouache and cherishes the connection she has with nature and the outdoors. Sally paints in her studio in Winnetka and in her summer studio in Northern Michigan. At times she paints en plain air.
